Latest AAE Poll Finds Americans Eat Less Sweets This Holiday Season and Make Oral Health Priority in 2022

CHICAGO, November 26, 2021 / PRNewswire / – It’s no surprise that cases of cracked teeth and dental injuries have increased throughout the pandemic – and that may be in part due to the stress of the pandemic wreaking havoc on our health oral. According to a November 2021 survey conducted by the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) – the 7,334-strong organization that represents root canal specialists known as endodontists who save natural teeth and relieve dental pain – 81% of adults Americans wish they had taken better care of their natural teeth. More than half (55%) would have liked their parents to have instilled better oral hygiene habits when they were younger, and 43% admit that dental pain or oral health problems negatively affect their productivity or their ability to concentrate.

In fact, more than a quarter (26%) of Americans think others would find them more attractive and about 1 in 6 (16%) think they would have a more active love life if they took better care of their teeth. .

The future is full of hope! While 39% of American adults plan to avoid sweets this holiday season to avoid toothache or dental problems, 76% plan to prioritize their oral health in 2022.
