KZN South Coast is a motorsport enthusiast’s dream

The south coast of KZN is a hub of adventure activities, home to some of the country’s best hiking, biking and 4×4 trails. But beyond that, the paradise of the Zulu Kingdom also boasts the only Motorsport South Africa (MSA) approved race track in the province: Dezzi Raceway.

Located in Port Shepstone, Dezzi Raceway consists of a purpose-built 2.4km racing circuit that hosts adrenaline-filled motorsport and drifting events.

With spectators returning to motorsport events at the end of last year, Dezzi Raceway has an action-packed 2022 competition schedule planned to make up for lost time!

“Whether you are visiting the KZN South Coast for a relaxed family beach holiday, to explore the hinterland and experience our agri-CULTURE sites, or for high-speed motorsport events that really get your heart pumping , there is something to keep everyone happy,” said Phhelisa Mangcu, CEO of Ugu South Coast Tourism (USCT). Dezzi Raceway has a long history of hosting some of the hottest and most thrilling races. “It’s really great to be able to welcome spectators again for the race days, which take place almost every weekend. Visitors can even hire the circuit for their own competitive racing adventure, which is a true to-do list experience,” she continued. READ ALSO : Enjoy an indulgent getaway on the south coast of KZN! It is also rented out as a corporate venue for vehicle testing and exhilarating teambuilding events.

Dezzi Raceway consists of two sets of open pits, a lock pit, an aircraft hangar, observation decks and benches, marshalling towers, hospitality areas, a timing office, a briefing room and a large entertainment area.

In addition to Dezzi Raceway, KZN’s South Coast welcomes biking and 4×4 enthusiasts to its many backcountry locations.

The KwaNzimakwe Multi-Trails, launched in 2019, is one such destination, offering those looking to explore the coastal forests a range of trails from 4 to 22 km in length.

The south coast of KZN has hosted national cycling festivals and regularly attracts visitors who have breakfast and want to stop at seaside spots with great food, great views and great company.
