Starter.xyz, the leading network of IoT launch platforms, incubators and investors, which has raised over $40m (£30.5m) in seed rounds, private and public for over 50 projects across multiple blockchains, celebrates its first anniversary.

Starter.xyz is deployed natively on several leading blockchain platforms including BSC/Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Ethereum, Avalanche, Fantom.

Since its inception, Starter has seen rocket development, taking the top spot as the go-to IoT launch pad after just one year and making it a game-changing catalyst for countless DeFi projects. It has quickly become a key resource for investors and startups, introducing key innovations at record speed such as verification, investor protection and interoperability.

In less than a year since its launch, Starter was named the top IoT launchpad by ROI in Q4 2021 by CryptoRank, creating more than 50x the growth of its launch projects at their peak.

Commenting on its success, Starter COO Suvi Rinkinen said, “As a launch pad designed to enable the widespread growth of DeFi, Starter was designed to ensure trust and deliver quality to investors. This explains the rapid success he enjoyed very early on.

Blockchain faced three main challenges which Starter successfully solved with its innovations.

These are:

  • Identify legitimate and high-potential projects in an ever-growing pool of countless startups
  • Protect investors from scams
  • Provide scalable, enterprise-grade technology and interoperability

Starter started on BSC, which works with Solidity, the programming language used by Ethereum.

This is one of the reasons the BSC platform has grown so rapidly, providing an alternative technology to ETH and the latter’s scalability dead ends and high gas prices.

Starter consciously chose BSC to start their launchpad/integrator while targeting the core of DeFi on Ethereum, then quickly added interoperability with four other major blockchain platforms – dramatically increasing accessibility, value and the usability of individual projects and their offerings, beyond the potential locked on Ethereum.
