With $ 1 Billion Investment Over Decade, Calix Announces World’s Only End-to-End Solution Strategy That Will Allow Broadband Service Providers to Outwit Direct Consumer Competitors


SAN JOSE, Calif .– (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Building on a decade of investment in Smart access EDGE and REVENUE EDGE platforms to deliver an unparalleled pace of broadband innovation, Calix, Inc. (NYSE: CALX) today at Connections 2021 in Las Vegas unveiled a end-to-end solution strategy to enable Broadband Service Providers (BSPs) to get the most out of all of their investments in Calix platforms. The new Calix solution leverages the automation, behavioral analysis and predictive intelligence of the Calix Cloud to ensure that the marketing, customer support and network operations teams get a unified and holistic view of the subscriber experience, covering the entire subscriber network of a BSP, from the periphery of access to the subscriber’s premises.

The new end-to-end solutions strategy creates significant new value from BSPs investments in Intelligent Access EDGE and Revenue EDGE solutions, enabling BSPs to transform in three key areas of their business.

  • Marketers will realize automated upsell opportunities with the new MyPriorityIQ Revenue EDGE suite. The new Revenue EDGE suite, MyPriorityIQ Leverage the mobile notifications feature in Marketing Cloud to allow BSPs to send offers directly to a subscriber through the OrderIQ® mobile app. The subscriber can accept the offer at the push of a button, and the service will be provided automatically via Operations cloud. For example, BSPs can send automated upgrade offers to subscribers who reach service limits. If a subscriber accepts the offer, the upgraded service will automatically be provided across the BSP network.
  • Network operations will become more efficient and productive with end-to-end automation. Operations Cloud provides a holistic view of the entire service delivery network. Network bandwidth capacity limitations on the uplinks of access network systems can now be detected and resolved before subscribers are impacted by an event. Additionally, automating the delivery of service changes and quality of service (QoS) capabilities – which are initiated by subscribers through MyPriorityIQ– generates massive operating savings and increased productivity.
  • Customer support benefits from true end-to-end visibility over the network. Customer support will be able to eliminate incoming support calls and perform proactive outreach to delight subscribers by proactively troubleshooting the entire network facing the subscriber from the access edge) to the subscriber’s premises. For example, a customer service representative may receive an automated notification regarding an degradation of an ONT or a fiber outage that impacts a subscriber’s broadband service. The representative can diagnose issues and proactively call the subscriber to let them know the issue is being resolved. This will ensure that access network issues are not confused with on-premises Wi-Fi issues.
